Bass Fishing ct – Bass Fishing

striped bass fishing in greenwich, CT?
Hi, I just moved to area and I would like to know where to fishing for striped bass in Greenwich, CT. I don’t have a boat so my choices are limited to either surf fishing, piers or jetties.
I would appreciate your collaboration in this such important matter for me.
Thanks a lot everyone !!!

First, I am on the left coast, but, you will need to try and find a great local tackle shop. You will need to hang out there and ask questions of the employees and customers also try to find a site that keeps up to date postings of local boaters and hot fishing spots in your area. I know they exist there are many out here. Maybe you can get the info from tackle shops that also post on line by calling a number of them.
Good luck for sure.

Fishing rod 4 piece – Fishing rod

do u recommended 4 pieces travelling fishing rod or one piece!!?
say from Penn as an example loaded up to 50 lb , could the four pieces work :(

Why not a 2 peice rod? Just as convenient and much higher quality fishing than with a 4 piece… Just have some rubber bands to bind the 2 peices together when collapsed. it will also be far less a hassle to carry around and you won’t feel TOO much difference between a 1 peice.

I regret giving such a short answer but I don’t have much more to say

Hope this helps

EDIT:

Thanks ole fisherman, means alot! though I would vote for you, you gave abit of a more detailed answer there.

Also GMB

Yeah I suppose it would be pretty hard… I have a retractable rod but it’s UL so I figure if I’m fishing for little sunfish and bluegill why not?

Thumbs up to both you guys!

Fishing rod quest – Fishing rod

How to win the riverside big fish trophy?
Hi I have flick fishing and i have recently been trying over and over to beat the cpu while doing the quest that says to win the riverside big fish tournament. I am trying on normal with both my normal fishing rod and “red fishing rod” which i unlocked but still no luck. The cpu gets like 50+ pound fish and my line snaps a lot. I have tried different bait and everything. Please help!!!!!

when you are reeling in the fish you have to look at the top bar that says line and how far it is out and when it gets to high is when the line snaps. What you have to do is when it gets too high stop reeling and the bar will go down but you have to keep looking at the bar. It takes awhile to get the fish in but that is what i do. What I do is Stop reeling before it gets to red.

I have a question for you Now… How did you unlock the rods?

Fishing Tips redfish – Fishing Tips

Does anybody have any tips, lists or ideas on what to bring while kayak fishing in the bays near the gulf?
I live in a town that is about 10 minutes away from Freeport where there are so many saltwater bays right by the Gulf of Mexico. I just bought a Kayak and I would like some ideas or tips or lists on what to bring on a kayak fishing trip. My main target fish are Redfish and Trout.

rod, reel and lures, paddle and life jacket, sunscreen and suntan lotion, water, food, and a fish stringer. Add a large brim hat and sun shades and you’re ready to fish.Sounds like you’re going to have a lot of fun.

Fishing trips auckland – Fishing Tips

fishing tips?
I have been fishing for awhile now but I fish is rivers most of the time usually the Ohio river to be exact. The past few years me and my frind have gone on a short fishing trip to East Fork Lake in Ohio. I am not used to fishing in a lake and we never catch anything can you give me some tips of what to look for? We are mostly trying to catch some catfish and bass.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

What most people don’t realize is that current is just as important in a lake setting as in a river setting. I don’t know your particular lake, but if there is a river channel, it will create current throughout the whole lake. This will give you an idea of where fish will be located throughout the lake. If there is no significant flow of water then wind direction will be your source of current. Fish face directly into the current 90% of the time and use eddies and backwaters to rest. Even if the current is slow, bass are typically ambush fish who like to expel little energy to sit in one spot quietly waiting for prey to pass by.

The leeward side of points, cuts in the shoreline, the downward side of humps and shoals are where your bass will be. Chances are they’ll be facing towards the current, so run your baits right at them. Don’t give them a chance to think about biting the bait, or scare them by sneaking up on them from behind.

As for catfish, look for mud bottom and drop cut pieces of shad or bluegill right on bottom.

Fishing Equipment halifax – Fishing Equipment

Fishing Equipment?
I’m going to buy some new fishing tackle at a local sporting goods store. I know some good bait to get (Berkley Gulp), but I would like to know some additional really good bait choices, lures, also hooks and equipment. What catches fish. I’ll usually be targeting largemouth bass, catfish, crappie and Carp

Also which would be a better buy A fishing Net (i’ve had some trouble landing big fish) or a digital scale (I’d like to really know how big the fish are that i am catching???

my favorite lure is the phoebe. check out the source to see what it is. crappie fishing is my favorite kind. all you realy need is size 6 hooks, bobbers, and split shot sinkers. i will be posting a video soon on the source on how to use that rig. then for bait i just use minnows or night crawlers. those are the best for bass. i also like using crawdads for bass, catfish, and carp. but if you still want to use lures i would try the phoebe and maby get some top water poppers for bass. if you have any more questions send my mail or check out the source : )

Fishing Tackle 60634 – Fishing Tackle

How much is my vintage fishing tackle worth?
I got my dad some vintage fishing tackle for fathers day, after watching Pawn Stars it really got him in to collecting them. So far I only got two one has a old rubber fish on it with weights and a shiny plate on it almost like a spiner bait on it it says:mepps comex made in frace. And the other is along rouned metal with red and white stripes on it with a single trihook on it. I was just wonder what year where they from and if they are worth anything? Thanks and god bless

Hi Kerri–really kewl how you got your Dad into this! It’s really tough to give you any info by the description you gave. However, there are tons of websites devoted to vintage tackle (http://fishingcollectables.com/ just for one example). If you do enough research someone will have a picture of the exact stuff you have. There are a lot of forums to post on where guys can help you narrow this stuff down, ’cause that’s what they do all day!

If you guys are really getting interested, you might want to get some books or magazines on the subject. Amazon has a lot of great books and a lot of reviews of the books by those who have read them. Like Robert said, this stuff is only worth what someone else thinks it worth. That said, with the right information at hand you can pick out bargains and valuable stuff when you are out and about looking. There is definitely a market for devotees out there. Plus it’s always fun to know what your stuff is worth on the open market.

Enjoy!
